Meet the Fellows

Mama Julz is an Oglala Lakota woman who is changing the world from Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

She started Mothers Against Meth Alliance to support families affected by the addiction epidemic.

She has become a pillar of her community and is seen as a safe person to ask for support.

She is an avid land defender and water protector, traveling the country, showing her solidarity for the cause of Native human rights and protecting the earth.

As the holiday season approaches, families are asking for support to provide gifts for the children. Please join the toy drive to help Mama Julz bring joy to her community.

Dan Nanamkin, from the Chief Joseph Band Of Wallowa, Nez Perce, and Colville Confederated Tribes of Washington State.

Vandee Crane

Fifteen years ago, Vandee Crane began her career as a behavioral health clinician, hoping to make a long-lasting, impactful change in society. However, it didn’t take long for her to realize that our society, the systems within it, and the people running those systems were broken beyond repair. And it is time to reinvent the wheel, or rather remember it...we must go backward to move forward; to rise, rEVOLutionize, and inspire healing. Vandee's passion is supporting other Women of Color, families and communities in reclaiming their power through the philosophies of ReMatriation and Safety Culture.
